If I Hear the Word "No" One More Time . . .
Fortunately, Luke hasn't begun saying "no" yet (pretty much all he says is "da-da-da-da" in various forms and tones), but babysiting W. & E. each morning gives me plenty of time with older, more verbal children. W. says no to pretty much everything, and this morning I was just about to go crazy! Personally, I really hope that I'll be able to somewhat curb Luke's use of that word. I suppose all of you experienced moms out there are thinking, "good luck!" Well, I'll give it a whirl anyways.

Hi Katie-I'm sure you don't remember me from NBBC--you were a kid when I went there:)--but I found your blog from the alumni letter.
Yours pushed me over the edge to start mine:)
Your little boy looks like your family! What a sweetie--it was fun reading and seeing how you are doing.
Hello Katie, I'm another Northland grad who you probably don't remember! Well, you might--I graduated in 1999, so it's not that long ago . . . but anyway, I also got here via the alumni update email. Isn't blogging fun?! :) I've had mine since March and I love it. It's such a nice way to stay in touch with friends and family, and get to know others in the blog world, as well.
Anyway, feel free to check mine out anytime. I'm at much the same stage of life as you: a SAHM to an 18 month old little boy. I love being a mom! But I could totally relate to your post about the first weeks of motherhood, as well--whew, I'm sure glad things get better after that!! I know what you mean about the word "no"--it's one of my son's favorites, as well. I think they learn that one so well because we have to say it to them so much! He is getting better, though, and learning a lot more new words, so we don't hear it quite as much now. :) Anyway, I'm glad I found your blog; it's nice to hear how you and your family are doing, and I'll definitely be stopping in from time to time. Take care!
