A Little Fun at the Alley

On Tuesday night, Chris, Luke and I went bowling with our good friends, John and Shannon. I haven't been bowling in a long while! It was Luke's first time bowling too; he was pretty excited. We got a ramp, specially made for children, that helped Luke knock a few pins down. Actually, he was doing better than me at one point.

All in all, none of us did exceptionally well. John was the winner and came in a little over 100. I don't remember right now whether it was 102 or 108. Feel free to leave a comment and set the record straight, Shannon. The rest of us . . . well, we didn't do so hot. I did manage to beat Luke in the end, and actually I beat Chris by 10. Woohoo! I think it's safe to say that we're not going to have any professional bowlers in our family. (That's an odd breed anyhow . . .)

Afterwards, we went to John and Shannon's beautiful house and enjoyed some pizza and icecream. Of course, Luke always loves to see Taylor (the Collop's dog).

So, that was our big outing for the week. I have had a pretty busy week, running errands, two playdates, taking Gladys to the bank. And an extra wrench was thrown into the equation when we discovered our Escort won't start; so I also have to take Chris to work if I need the car. O yeah, I think Luke is getting his eye teeth too. I don't think he's suffered to badly, except for at night between 10 and 12, for some reason, that's been a tough time for him.

Hope ya'll's week is going well too. It's almost Friday!

Katie,

You have had a very busy week. But then again, once you are a stay at home mom or a FT working mom, no week is borning or without anything to do! That was a lesson I learned really fast!

It looks like you all had a wonderful time bowling. That would be a good thing for us to do. We are always looking for something new to do with the kids. I am afraid what Logan would do with a bowling ball though. Probably throw it the wrong direction. :)

Have a great rest of the week. Tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!

Katie,

Wow, you make me want to go bowling! Seems like everything is more fun with a little one. I second Heather's comment - being a stay at home mom is extremely tiring and busy. I had such lovely thoughts of relaxing days of leisure when I was pregnant. Ha! Now I don't know how in the world I ever kept house while working full time.

Enjoy your Friday dear! Oh, and green looks wonderful on you! :)

Love ya,
Alicia
