Luke and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Did you ever read "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" by Judith Voirst when you were young? My friend S.V. did it for a speech when we were in Jr. High (Man, you struggled with stage fright! I don't mean to make fun of you, but it makes me laugh now.) Anways, Luke and I had a day just like poor Alexander. Maybe I'll tell it to you some time in full detail, but for now, may it suffice to say that it involved the following: sleep deprivation (much, much sleep deprivation!), an ear infection, pain caused by teeth breaking through the surface, a cold, a burn from the stove, and a fall from the bed - all in one day! It makes me want to go to Australia.

On second thought, that's all you're going to get about our terrible, no good, very bad day. I don't want to revisit it in fuller detail.

Katie...in 14 weeks (but who's counting..) i too will join the ranks of those loyal mommies who are sleep deprived...the Lord is preparing me even now...it's a real pain in the back if you know what I mean :).
Australia sounds a lot warmer than PA! Grab us a couple tickets if you go!
Hope you have a better day! :)

Katie....
I have read the story and it sounds to me like you did have a terrible, horrible, no good very bad day all at once. Sleep deprived days are never good. They always seem to add so much stress to your day on top of everything else. I hope today is a better for you!

KT,
I'm very familiar with the story as I coached a student doing this as a speech for WACS back in my teaching days. Good thing you didn't have to experience bubble gum in your hair and bunny pajamas like the book. Poor Luke and poor you! Did he get any better sleep today? Hope your day today goes better. Seems like when Chloe has a bad day the following day is almost angelic.

Get some rest and take a well deserved mommy break if you can!

Praying for you dear,
Alicia

Hey Katie, I had a day like that today. Part of the reason we got disconnected on the phone! :) I'm ready to throw the cell phones out the window! I have a new blog and you'll have to help me with it since you're the blog expert. It's conleyclan.blogspot.com

Thanks Chrissy! Thanks for remembering me on my special day. When I hear "cha cha cha" I immediately envision all your crazy boy cousins at Sunday Dinner. :) That will be Connor one day.
