I wanted to alert the blogging world to my husband Chris' new blog. Click here to see it. (I also have a permanant link to it on the sidebar.) It's designed primarily to be a help to him in his theological studies. So, even though he won't be posting too much personal information, I encourage you to read his posts and give your theological senses some exercise.
While we're on the subject of my husband, I wanted to share these glorious pictures to illustrate my husband's sense of humor. Every winter Chris grows a beard, which I'm not altogether opposed to. I thinks he looks nice in a beard, but I'm always ready to bid farewell to it by February. I finally got Chris to shave it off after my birthday. While he was shaving it off, he decided to have some fun and tease me by stopping at various points - displaying some pretty freaky mustaches! I admit, the goatee might look kind of nice - we'll have to try that next winter. And, the Hulk handlebar mustache looks goofy. But, that mustache - now that looks scary. Which one do you like best?

Katie...it is funny how with every picture he looks so different. I personally love goatees. So did he leave it the Hitler way or did it all come off?
i must agree that i am a goatee girl...(not personally having one...just admiring them on others..) but I must say that the Hulk Hogan Handlebar could be marketed again! :) LOL
I think i am too attached to nate's facial hair - i would have a hard time watching him shave it off and grow it back all of the time. Maybe I can go buy a chia pet (do they still make those?) and start with that and see how I do.
Chris just needs some chops for sideburns with some of those mustaches. :) I like goatees (on others) also. Now that I see picutres of Geoff without one, he looks so young & baby faced.
Ryan never had facial hair while we were dating, but ever since we have been married he has had either a goatee or a beard. I can't say that I hate it, or that I am fond of it, either. I guess that I am impartial to the whole facial hair subject. I take it on a case by case basis. Chris' goatee doens't look too bad, but as for the rest - utterly detestable. I bet it was fun shaving it off though!!
the hulk hogan is bringing back some high school memories of my dad. i think he did it mainly to intimidate guys that tried to date us.
but i must say chris could single-handedly bring back the hitler! HA! i'm loving that one.
Hi, Nan, it is me, Janelle ...it has been so long since i have blogged, I forgot my username and password, so i had to sign on as anonymous. - anyways, i would have to say i either like the full grown out beard or the hulk hogan handle bars. I HATE goatees - gross. I wonder if it is because we grew up raising goats, and I never realy wanted to marry a man that looks like a goat. (No offense to any GOATee lovers.)
The last photo is my favorite - it looks more like he's got some serious boogers than a Hitler stache. :) I also like facial hair on other guys but not my Matt. He looks cute a little scruffy but he's positively old looking with a beard. Plus, doesn't food and stuff get stuck in there?
Love Chris' Luther quote about diapers on his blog. I have to share that with Matt. :) Poopy cloth diapers are pretty gross to clean up. The first time he dealt with one he just threw it in the bathroom sink and screamed for me to come help! :)

I'm definitely a goatee girl! But I hate, hate, HATE all the other options! Yuck! :)
Chris takes after the maternal side of the family in some ways... That said, the handlebars would look more natural in Louisville if worn with a mullet.
Which is precisely why we're moving away from Louisville. No Mullets!
Hey Katie,
This is Julie Baylor from NBBC. I love your blog. I got your name off of Shanon's blog. Those pics of Chris are hilarious :o)
Hope you are doing well.
