A Good Day After All

We had quite an early start to our Easter Sunday. Yesterday marked the end of a very tough week for Luke, and last night was no exception. We had a frustrating night filled with many "episodes" with Luke. Several factors contributed to the mayhem, but I have high hopes that tonight will be better.

Tonight I just wanted to "scribble" (modern-day scribbling, that is - blogging) down a few things that Luke does that just make me smile. Kids are so great. When we're running around like a chicken with his head cut off, they go and do the cutest things that just stop us in our tracks, make us throw our heads back and laugh. Lukie is on his way to becoming a regular Dennis the Menace and sometimes can be so mischevious, if he could talk he'd say, "the devil made me do it." Here's some of the things he does that make me smile.

1. Today he put 4 frosted mini-wheats in the vents of the air conditioner (window unit). He was kind enough to show us his work so we could remove them before turning it on.
2. After he brushes his teeth, he taps the toothbrush on the sink several times - just like his daddy does.
3. We recently got song booklets from church for our small group. Luke likes to open one up and sing - LOUDLY! He also is thoughtful in handing them out to us to sing along too.
4. Most nights, when I lay him in bed, he is a little giddy and just seems so happy to be in his bed. He kicks his legs up and down and blows me many, many wonderful kisses.
5. When he gets something in his hand that he likes, he will not let go of it at any cost! This was the cause of pain and tears tonight when he was climbing up the slide in the backyard and couldn't hold on to his Reece's PB cup and keep his balance at the same time. Naturally, he held on to that candy and fell all the way down, backwards (tears for Luke and aniety for us!).

Of course there are a million more ways Luke makes us laugh and love him so very much, but these are just a few! :) Hope you enjoy your kiddies today, if God has blessed you with them yet. It's easy just to get our lists done and get through the day, but as they say, the time will fly, so enjoy them NOW!

Good reminder dear. Sounds like Luke inherited the Patz eye for mischief. :) Now that Chloe's dress is done I don't have much on my to-do list today. I am looking forward to giving her a crawling and clapping seminar today. :)

I loved reading about Luke's latest accomplishments. I'm laughing now, knowing my turn will soon come to chase my little one around. He's such a cute kid, those pictures you've posted of him recently are priceless.
