First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sweet little sister April! This pic of her and Luke is from last October. Isn't she just so beautiful? She won't be April Patz for too long. She's marrying Scott Mohler on August 5!
We had a great weekend - still are, Sunday's not over yet! Although Luke slept miserably on Friday night and Chris had to work at 6am on Saturday, we still managed to make it downtown for part of the air show that preceded the great Thunder Over Louisville. We decided not to push our luck and didn't stay for the fireworks. It was nice to get outside and see the planes and be with friends. Sadly, the picture of Luke and his friend Benjamin didn't take. :( The pics of Luke in the orange outfit is at the airshow.
Praise God, Luke didn't wake up once last night! We've had a rough time of it lately; I blame the emergance of his bottom eye teeth. This was the first good night of sleep he's had in about two weeks. We all woke up feeling so refreshed. Don't you love Luke's little blue suit? He received lots of compliments on it this morning at church (although it didn't hinder him from wrestling in the nursery!), and I loved telling everyone that this was his Uncle Matthew's suit. It's almost 18 years old! I think I still remember which friends of my mom's brought it as a gift when they came to see Matthew as a newborn. And, as you can tell from the pictures, I didn't cut all of Lukie's curls off (thank goodness!).

Great suit! It really is cute and I never would have guessed it was 18 years old. Looks like it came straight from the children's place. Nice little home you have there. Are you going to miss it? Did you paint the green hallway? April is getting married?!? She seems too young (in my memories of her) to get married. She's be forever 12 in my mind. :) Is this Mohler guy related to the Albert Mohler whose blog you like? And where is the chatterbox link? Sorry for all the queries, dearie. :)

You have such an angel - he's adorable. It's still crazy to think that you have a little boy sometimes when I think back to high school days. I'm so glad you came on our(Rob's) blog. It's great to see pictures of you guys and to be able to read how you're doing. We are loving Virginia Beach! I'll be in touch.
Alicia: We enjoy the location of our home more than anything. We're a stone's throw away -about 20 feet! - from a good girlfriend (and Luke's friend Caitlyn), and there's lots of great places to walk. No, I didn't paint the hallway. It's not as nice a color as it might look in a photo. :) No, Scott isn't related to Al Mohler; but he is related to Chad, Tristan & Carri Mohler (Gerdt now) who all went to N-land. April is a young-un - turned 21 yesterday, but she's older than I was when I got married. She and Scott have liked each other since they were in Jr. High - they started off with email. Isn't that cute?
Hey Julie! I think it's crazy too that I have, not a baby, but a BOY! He is getting so big; he wants to do everything BY HIMSELF now. It sounds like lots of people I know love VA Beach. It would be lovely to live near the coast, but I guess I will soon - on the coast of the North Sea in Aberdeen, Scotland! :) I look forward to checking your blog and adding it to my list of links - under the "Good Old Days" of course. We didn't do a ton of stuff together in highschool, but when we did, I remember GREAT laughs (and incessant giddyness). I saw the pic of you doing a Kong impersonation on the Baylor's blog - it made me LOL! That's the Julie I remember. :)

Isn't it fun to find clothes from back in the day that are totally cute now? If we have a girl, my mom has the cutest little dresses that I wore when I was little - can't wait to use them...if it's a girl! :) April is beautiful! I can't believe how grown up she is!

I love the suit. Such a cherished item knowing that your brother had worn it. I pray someday the Lord will bless me with a boy so he can where the suit my brother wore for our wedding.
