Our New Life

Now that I'm back to blogging, the old addiction is coming back. But, this summer is going to be too busy for the addiction to become too strong. It seems like we have so much going on here this summer. It's not our typical move/transition to a new place. We love being by family. We're pretty much settled in our little apt. in the basement. It is cozy and homey if I do say so myself. I still have some fun stuff to do with decorating Luke's big boy room though.

Praise God, Chris was able to tranfer to another Starbucks store here and started work a week after the move - with lots of hours! He is currently working with Ryan Dobbertin, which provides him with some laughs throughout the day, I'm sure. We had a great time have supper with Ryan, Suzanne and Gavin on Tuesday night. The Starbucks babies seemed to have a good time together. :)

For myself, I managed to finnagle a few paying jobs throughout the family. I clean for my mother-in-law every other week and do laundry/ironing for Chris' aunt. This will help out a great deal. Today I'm cleaning and tomorrow is laundry day. So, those two things, plus other miscellaneous projects/jobs I have around here will keep me pretty busy. We only have a few weeks until my family is coming to visit for Luke's birthday. They'll be taking him back with them right before we fly to Glasgow on the 6th. I'll be gone for a week and Chris for two. A few weeks later, I'll make the journey back up to the Woods for April's wedding! And there you have it. I feel like the summer's almost over! :)

What are you summer plans? Anything exciitng? Do share.

Welcome back to blogging, dear! I've missed you.

Sounds like a whirlwind summer for you guys. What a blessing to have some part time work to fill your time and bring in some extra dough.

We are flying out to my mom's next week for her 50th. After that we plan to stay rooted in Ohio with nothing more exciting than hosting a yard sale.

My blogging addiction is waning this summer also with busyness. I have just gotten back from ATlanta and July 1-7 we go to visit my parents. AT the end of July, my grandpa is coming down here for 10 days while my parents go see Trisha after she has the baby. Then in September I'll go up and see her too (with my free vouchers). It seems like time flies between all our trips! :)
