After traveling all summer and trying to figure out where to put all of our "stuff" in our new dwelling place, I'm finally seeing progress on my "To Do" list! What a great feeling. Some of the tasks on my list are really simple, and I've just been a big procrastinator. I guess I declared this week "Anti-procrastination Week." You should try it; make a list of all of the jobs (big or small), phone calls and errands that you've been neglecting to do for a while. It's such a great feeling to get those things done! Yesterday morning, I got up early (even got a shower in BEFORE Luke woke up!) and scoured the bathroom, then dusted & vacummed upstairs (not my own "apartment"). I also got a few loads of laundry done and wrote some notes. This morning I tackled a bigger project that I've been avoiding: the laundry area! I moved everything out (except the sink & washer/dryer unit) and scrubbed the floor with a brush a bleach. Then I moved everything back in a much more organized layout. It doesn't look perfect (it really needs a coat of paint, but that'll have to come later), but it looks so much better. And to organize my laundry, I bought a laundry sorter at Meijer last night. I didn't want to spend a ton, but there was a plastic unit with different color mesh bags on sale for $9.99! Yahoo! It seems sturdy enough, and I like the fact that I can easily take the mesh bags out and wash them. Another pesky job that I'd been avoiding was cleaning out my dust-buster (hand vacuum). I used this all the time in Lou, but haven't touched it since we moved. I'm almost embarrased to say that there were undoubtedly food particles in the thing, and I knew it was growing and growing. I opened it last night, and almost vomited 3 times! But, I soaked it in bleach and it is looking much better this morning.
It seems that posting lists on your blog for the world to see might provide some accountability to get them done (cf. Christina and Brenda), so here's what's left on my list.
1. Clean out both cars. And wash them!
2. Paint bathroom door
3. Touch up paint in bathroom
4. Paint bathroom shelf
5. Organize garage
6. Start developing pictures
I'm not saying that all of these items are going to get these all done this week, but hopefully soon.
What's on your project list lately? And, regarding my job of developing my pictures, where do you go to get your digital pics developed?

WOW! I would have to say that you have been OVERLY productive! I haven't been much for getting things done lately...actually, today, I was on overload and had a much needed breakdown! Why does that help?? I still have not gotten anything done, but I feel much better?!?
I keep thinking that I am going to be able to slow this crazy life down of ours...but it isn't happening! Thanks for the tips of putting a list together...I am going to use it!!
Sams Club is where we go for digital pics--you can send them from your computer to Sams, so you just have to go pick them up--very convenient!
I agree, it is such a great feeling to be able to cross items off the to-do list! I just made one today too:) I have some doctors appts to schedule, borrowed maternity clothes to return, lunches dates to schedule, notes to write...:)(None of which is getting done while I blog!)
Hey Katie! Glad your being so producitve!! I live and die by my lists. Not to slow you down, by any means, but do you want to do a play date tomorrow (thursday)? Let me know, we'll be downriver for most of the day.
Katie,
I need to get the study closet organized, my scrapbook stuff put away, the bathroom painted, and my upcoming classes in order.
As for pictures, I love using www.snapfish.com. Their pictures are super cheap and they mail them to my house :) and I can do all the editing from my house. They will probably give you 20 free prints for creating a free account too. If you want to try it!
Katie, I always use yorkphoto.com. It's only 10 cents a print and the quality is excellent.
