November 20th

November 20th. Three days until Thanksgiving. Two days until we head on up north to celebrate it with my family. And the day that my grandparents were married some 58-or-so years ago. A good husband is one of God's richest blessings in life. I cannot imagine the loneliness she must feel. So, today, I pray God's grace, hope and peace on her. And faith to look to Christ and his promises for us.

Life has been busy lately. Running errands, starting my Christmas shopping, raking a million leaves, chasing Luke around in life. We have also been up to our elbows in Play Dough - Luke's new favorite hobby. It doesn't taste too bad, by the way. Says Luke.

Chris is returning home tonight after being gone for almost a week in Washington D.C. He's been attending conferences, meeting with profs, and hanging out with old friends. We'll be so happy to see him tonight.

Meanwhile, it's almost 9am, and Luke is still sleeping. He didn't sleep well last night. I think that either a cold or allergies were bothering him, so it's off to the drugstore to buy some Claritin. That should just about complete my in-home children's pharmacy.

I'm ready for the holidays (Thanksgiving and CHRISTmas, that is), and I pray that this year my family would really be successful in turning our eyes on Jesus and the true cause for Thanksgiving and celebration.

What are your plans for this week?

We get to head north for Thanksgiving as well - though not as far north as you. We will be in Michigan from Wed to Sun. My birthday is Wednesday - 27 already! Where does the time go?
Glad to see a new post from you today. I've missed hearing from you.

Ever tried making that edible play dough? My mom made that once. I think it was harder to work with, though. (you can relay that to Lukie) Sounds like you are pretty busy. Hope you are able to relax a little during Thanksgiving. Wish we could join the fam...
Man, how does Chris rate? What conference? Well...tell him "hi" for me when he gets back...and Luke. Hope all's well for you guys. SM

Welcome back from your KY trip! Boy, this month is a busy one for you guys.

We are heading to Grand Rapids, MI to visit Matt's bro and family. We're all looking forward to the break and time to wallow in family fellowship. Chloe has a cousin that is just 6 mos. older than her so it is going to be a blast to see them play and interact together.

I hope you have a wonderful time in Wisconsin visiting your family! That is one of the best parts of the holidays...get together with other family members!

I hope Luke continues to feel better!

Hi, KT - I'm headed to Miami Universtiy in Ohio to hang out with my niece for a few days! We usually celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas this week ("Thanksmas" we call it!) - but my parents are out of the country for a bit, so not this year. :( I love the "fun with fam" time, and can't wait to spend a few days with Jillian!

Have a GREAT time - - - Howdy to all your fam from me! [Those of them who MIGHT remember me, at least!]

Oh. my. heart - - - are you ready for this - - - I had thought before that I knew the name Mohler (other than from Al, of course) - - - and wondered if your brother-in-law was the one I knew. He is. I was his piano teacher when he was in the fourth or fifth grade, I think! :) Small world :)
