My brother Daniel wrote an article for his church's newsletter regarding Mother's Day. He gives thanks to God for the moms in his life - all of whom I'm blessed by too. But he especially honors his mom - my mom. (Here she is with one of her "baby" boys - our favorite soldier.) He gives seven things that he is most thankful for, all to which I say amen. I honor my mom for each of those things too; and now, as I'm at the beginning of a blessed and rewarding lifetime of motherhood, I pray that I would offer those things to Luke and the other children God blesses us with.
Even if you don't know my mom, read this article and be encouraged to give thanks for the moms in your life too.
