Shenanigans
One night last week, Luke was being a little stinker at bed time. He was making excuse after excuse to not go to bed or keep me in his room.
Mommy: Luke, that's it. No more! You are going to bed. I don't want any more of your shenanigans!
Lukie: Holding up his pointer finger close to his face (kinda like that cute kid on The Kid) Just one more shenanigan, Mommy?
Mommy: successfully hiding a smile, No!
Peace
Just last night, we were having family devotions. Lately, Luke has been wanting to have a turn "reading" the Bible. His reading usually consists of phrases such as, "Jesus loves me," "Jesus gives me kisses" (Don't ask me where that one came from.), and other random words, interrupted occassionally by "next page," at which point (obviously) he turns the page.
Daddy: So, Luke. What did you read in the Bible?
Luke: Uh, Jesus loves me. He gives me bones and peace.
Mommy: Does Jesus give you peace?
Luke: Yeah!!! Jesus gives me a piece of candy!!!!!!!!!!
There will undoubtedly be more to come.

Precious precious times. Wish I could have heard him say shenanigans - what a mouthful!
I don't know what the bones were all about.?. He's a wierd and goofy kid - that's all I can say. He obviously gets it from his dad.
