Today my baby is 3 years old. I can't believe it! How have 3 years gone by already? I've loved every day with Luke - it's never been dull or boring, that's for sure! As an added blessing, my mom, grandma, aunt & brother came to celebrate with us. We had a great weekend with them, and yesterday we had a birthday bash at Chris' parents with all of the family. It was so much fun, and Luke took home quite the haul. Whoa! This boy is spoiled with lots of love and, yes, some toys. He was so sweet afterwards though, and went around the whole room and gave each person a hug and kiss - that's a lot of hugs & kisses! We had a fun time this morning going through all his toys; he really got some great stuff - especially for learning - that I'm looking forward to playing with myself! He got a "My First LeapPad," Magtastik blocks, Lace & Trace animals & shapes, coloring & painting activities, blocks, "Cars," a book about being a big brother (and the boy in the story's name is Luke!), a baseball & glove, some much needed jamies, clothes and more! Since I need to really get going on packing, I think I'm going to pack up all of his "old" toys, because he has enough to keep him busy with his birthday loot!
Today will be more low-key, but he still has some gifts coming his way, including some great children's Bible storybooks, which I will comment on later, and let's not forget, my much anticipated new Curious George collection! I am most anxious for him to open this one, as I could use a break from the Chocolate Factory and the Pancake Breakfast! And I think a lunch date with Daddy at "Donalds" is planned today as well.
This morning when Luke woke up, I was trying to tell him the story of when he was born. I said,
And then, the Mommy & Daddy had a little baby boy named Luke Roland Bruno! But Luke said,
No, No. We're having a little baby girl, like Annabelle! Which is not confirmed yet, by the way. :)

Luke LOVED playing with his Uncle Antonio. Antonio is a GREAT uncle!

Luke & his big-boy swimsuit. He can now swim all by himself; I love it! I would highly recommend this type of suit.

Happy Birthday Luke! I can't believe how big he is! Sounds like he had a great day too!!!
I was going to comment on his suit when I saw it in the first picture. My kids both wear suits like that one. They do great in the pool and don't need to hang all over me anymore. Our friends little ones used them for about a year and now this year they swim on their own...they said it is because of the suits!!
How have you been feeling?? You look great!
Happy Birthday Luke!
I can't believe he is 3 either! I'm glad you got to celebrate with both families and make some great memories. I can't wait to find out what you're having. Call me when you do (in case you don't want to post on the blog!) :)

Three already? Wow, time really does go by quickly! Happy Birthday Lukie! I really like his curly hair all grown out - it's so adorable on him.
Sounds like he got some great gifts! When do you all have to get packed and outta there? What stories are in your new CG book?
How far along are you now?
Heather: I'm so thankful that so far with this pregnancy, I've felt great! No complaints here.
Shaney: I will call you when I find out if this is Ethel or Fred. :) It might be soon!
April: Luke loved the books! Mom read him a few before bed last night. He loves Winnie the Pooh. Thank you so much. We are looking forward to visiting you in Lou and for you to come to our house for THanksgiving! :)
Al: I love Luke's long curly locks too, but was just thinking today of getting it cut a bit - maybe I'll wait. :) Luke's CG book includes "Takes a Train, Visits a Toy Store, the Dump Truck, the Bday Surprise, Goes Camping, Goes to a Costume Party, Visits the Library & in the Big City. It's funny how excited I am to read these new stories. :) We are going on a little fam. vacation on July 18, and I need to be packed by then. Yikes! I gotta get moving! We close on the 23rd and will move sometime later that week. I always forget exactly how far along I am. Just about 18 weeks I think. :)
