Going Shopping
Chris and I have been eyeing minivans for sale in the area for a while, and today we finally went and looked at one. We originally were looking at vans for sale on Craigslist, but found something worth looking at at a used car place. Luke was so excited to look at the van. He was like, Well, let's buy it! Chris and I were exactly ready to do that right away, but it does look very solid and seems promising. I've heard that the Chrysler Town & Country is on of the best minivans on the market. This van is within our budget (though at the top, of course), within our mileage goal, and seems to be in very good condition. Buying a used car is so scary though! I'm just scared that we'll buy it and the next week the engine light will go on or something. So, we're thinking and praying about it this weekend, and will probably go in on Monday if we're still interested. Do any of you have a Chrysler Town & Country? How do you like it? My only concern is that we're not familiar with the place we'd be buying it from so are not sure about their integrity. I checked them out with the Better Business Bureau, and they have one complaint that had no response - about refund and exchange issues - which they did not respond to the BBB for. I'm not sure that this should be a concern though. Anyhow, we're praying that we'll make the wise decision; I'd also LOVE to finally have a new car! Our beaut of a car that we're driving keeps us quite humble with all of it's dents and wonderful noises that it makes. It also only has one functional seatbelt in the back seat (for Luke's carseat), hence, a new vehicle before the baby comes is a REQUIREMENT. It's served us well though.

I personally don't own one, but it is on my "wishlist". I do know plenty of friends from chrurch that own them and they LOVE them and they are very reliable. My father-in-law used to work on them in the maitenance department at the college and I remember him saying as long as you kept up on them with oil changes and things like they they lasted a LONG time.
God's wisdom to you all as you pray about this purchase! Let us know what happens and what you decide to do.
We're in the same boat car-wise. We just have one car and the little Jetta has been making lots of strange noises lately. We're praying it lasts us another year yet.
we are praying for you guys about your van purchase. love you nanner.
The BBB isn't really much of any sort of barometer about a business.
They aren't a government agency. They are just a business themselves. Businesses are not obligated to reply to the BBB about anything. They probably took care of it directly with the customer.
Do they sell a used car warranty? We bought one with a used car once and were quite glad. It was about another $900 but when we had to replace the engine we figured that was a great investment;).
Hope that helps a bit?

sooo...did you get it?
