October was a full and fun month. We went to WI at the beginning of the month and came home with lots of great pumpkins and squash. We also discovered the great (and free) activity of Wheaton College sports. Chris and Luke enjoyed watching Wheaton Thunder football (Luke's in his hat and ready to go to the game.) And as usual, Luke loved to help in the kitchen - especially when we made Halloween cupcakes and sugar cookies. We still haven't made the caramel apples that I bought caramels for. I guess we'll enjoy those in November!
One of Luke's favorite activities was painting with the washable paints I bought him as a reward for better sleeping at night. He LOVES to create art; some of his stuff is actually pretty interesting! I'll have to take some pics of the best of Luke Bruno.
He also has become quite attached to Cow. Yep, that's his name - Cow. Luke still isn't too creative with naming his animals yet. Luke treats Cow like a real, er, Cow, I guess. He always wants Chris to make Cow talk and play with him. It's pretty funny.
The night before Halloween, we carved Mr. Pumpkin. Chris did most of the work this year, though sadly he didn't make it into a picture. I was mostly taking video of the carving process. Luke helped a bit to get the "yucky stuff" out of Mr. Pumpkin. But he couldn't wait until we "put fire" inside of our jack-o-lantern. It was another unseasonably warm night, so we had fun sitting on our porch with Mr. Pumpkin for a little while before bed.
And on the morning of October 31, Mr. Incredible made his debut at the Carol Stream Halloween Story Time. Of course he got lots of compliments and some, "Hey, there's Superman." That night, we had fun trick-or-treating in Wheaton. Though he wouldn't say "trick-or-treat" too often, he did say "can I have two?" quite a few times. What a goober.'

WOW! You did have a busy October. You have such an adorable little guy on your hands!
What size clothing is he in???
Nell Nar: How was your day? Ours wasn't too shabby with a mix of laziness and work.
Heather: Our October doesn't seem so busy anymore now that November is here. It's shaping up to be a crazy month and I'm starting to get freaked about the baby coming! Luke wears pretty much a 4T except for pants - 3T - he's got short legs I guess.
What a blessing to read this blog. It makes one happy just to read and look at the pictures.
God Bless
"Can I have two?" How cute! My nephew, who is a few months younger than Luke, was just over 2 years old when he went trick or treating last year. When somebody would give him candy he didn't like he would say, "Don't like that kind" and would give it back!! Kids are so honest.
Katie,
I don't have anyone to give Logan's outgrown clothes too...would you like them??? I think I have mostly 4T.
There are not many but I do have some. I would rather give them away than throw them away.
Let me know!!!
Katie! Luke is just SO CUTE! I really like his hair at this length. And you are a very cute pregnant lady. :) How've you been feeling lately?
I can't get over how patz-like Luke is! He looks so much like Matthew did when he was a little tyke.
So awesome to finally see pictures on your blog, girl! Looks like you had a really festive fally October. Wish Kent State's college sporting events were free . . .
love the home depot apron! i've got to get my hands on one of those. :)
good pics!
Oh Katie, I just love these pictures! Luke even looks older since I've seen him. Well, I do get to come to your house for Thanksgiving for sure now. So i'm so excited to see you all and make gingerbread houses with Luke. I love how he likes to help in the kitchen and around the house. What a cutie you have! That's hilarious that he named his cow "cow". at least he's creative with his paintings. :) You should have him paint something for me. I love his halloween costume. so cute!
