A Few of God's Blessings to Me

The Giver, much Better than the Gifts:

I'm trying to teach Luke that of all the things that we have to thank the Lord for, Jesus, above everything, is to be prized and treasured. I pray that I would believe that every day too and that it is evident in my life and affections.

My Family

God gave me just the husband that I needed. He is loving, patient, kind and long suffering. He is incredibly disciplined and committed to God's calling on his life - not just studying theology, but being a husband and dad.

Luke has been displaying more of his sinful side than sweet side lately, but even in the midst of bad days like we've had lately, he is a precious gift to me, and I know I am unspeakably blessed to have him as my own. He is FULL of life, enthusiasm and creativity. He is also caring and very loving, with lots of love and kisses for Mom.

It's easy to take a safe pregnancy and a healthy baby for granted. I give thanks every day to God for this healthy baby boy growing inside of me, and his days in my belly are numbered (also something I'm thankful for)! We can't wait to meet him and seeing what our second son is like.

More Family

I love my mom and dad. They still are the ones I call when I'm discouraged or worried. I know they pray for me, and I appreciate them even more the longer I am a parent.

Chris and I are one of those all-too-rare couples who both having great parents who still love each other and us too. I love my in-laws. I miss them; I appreciate them so much; and mostly I'm thankful to them for giving me an incredible husband. And beyond great in-laws, I'm thankful for all of Chris' family - they're lots of fun and make me feel loved like one of their own.

My siblings and sweet nieces and nephews - though they grow in number each year - are all so special. Having a big family can be crazy, but it doesn't mean that you can't be close. From Daniel to Antonio and in between - Molly, Janelle, Jason, April, Scott, Matthew, Marco, Grace, Buddy, Elijah, and my two sweeties on the way this year - though they are all vastly different, they all mean so much to me in many different ways. I can't wait to be with them all this holiday season.

Thanks for sharing your blessings with us! I've been so wrapped up with family lately that I've forgotten the preciousness of Jesus. Thanks for the reminder.
