Last week at our church, we had Summer Quest (VBS). I taught K5, so we had to be there every day from 8:45-12:15. It was a busy and tiring week! On Thursday evening, Chris took Luke for a quick swim, and on the way home, he mentioned to Luke that tomorrow was the last day of SQ. Luke said, What are we going to do after that? Chris said he didn't know, to which Luke replied, Are we going to pack up our stuff and move to a new house? Poor kid. We have moved 3 times in his short little life. And the last time we packed up and moved was shortly after VBS at our church in MI. :)
On Saturday, we made it to a few garage sales together (I found a kid's cassette player for $2 - Luke can now listen to books on tape from the library!) and then hit Walmart and Target to get a Father's Day present for Chris and cards for the grandpas (which sadly have not made it to them yet :(). Chris has been wanting a popcorn maker, so that's what we were looking for. Walmart didn't have a Stir-Crazy, so we headed over to Target. While we were weaving through the aisles, I was telling Luke how cool it's going to be to get Dad a popcorn maker - just like Pappy's, and he was trying to convince me that Daddy would like a cotton-candy maker better! He was saying all of this very loudly, and I don't think I was the only one who was amused. Then, with all the talk about Father's Day, he wanted to know when Kid's Day was. I told him every day is Kid's Day. :)
Yesterday after Chris got home from work, he and Luke were playing with Playdough. Chris created a decent-looking playdough figure. I guess it was a woman, because Luke said, "Hello Gorgeous!" when he saw it. Don't ask me where he heard the word gorgeous.
Unfortunately it hasn't been all fun and games around here. A few days ago Simon suffered an intentional injury at the hands of his big brother when Luke threw a pretty hard toy right down on his face. :( Poor baby. That's the first time Luke's done anything like that and hopefully the last - at least for a while.
Happy Summer!
Catching up on some reading.

Just one piece of advice The picture of Luke will not be liked by Luke in about 10 years.
The stories and pictures are great and very enjoyable. Keep them up. (Hugs)
