Goings-On

Wow, this is the longest I've ever gone without blogging. Part of me feels guilty, because I'm always checking friends' blogs and feel a bit disappointed when there isn't a new post for a few weeks. And I've been doing just that. Maybe it's my lack of faith that anyone reads. Anyhow, I just want check in and post some keypoints of our life in the last few weeks.

1. We had a fun Halloween with Lukie. We went trick-or-treating with him for the first time. (It was also my first time EVER trick-or-treating!)

2. Luke had another cold and had a few rough nights, one of which I found myself blowing bubbles at midnight to amuse the poor guy.

3. Chris made it through a grueling middle-of-the-year week that included several papers and lots of work. Good job, Honey!

4. I found an animal cracker in Luke's diaper. (Don't worry, it snuck in there from the outside.)

5. Luke is making leaps and bounds with sign language that I've been teaching him. He now knows "please", "more", "all done", and "eat"!

As you can see, the past few weeks have been fairly "normal" for us. But, I'm ok with that. It's nice to have things low-key for a while, especially with the holidays coming. We're looking forward to having Chris' parents down for Thanksgiving; and I'm really looking forward to hosting my first Thanksgiving! And we're mulling over dates for a trip to WI after Christmas. We're looking forward to Patz Baby No. 3 (compliments of Daniel and Molly) in late December, so are going to WI in January so we can see him (or her).
