I'm Asking You to Pray

Many of my thoughts and prayers have been with two families in Minnesota these past 3 days. On Friday night, three girls from my brother Daniel's youth group were in a car accident. Tragically, Hannah Pearson went to be with Jesus that night. Now that I look at that sentence, I realize and acknowledge that it is certainly not tragic to be with Jesus! Indeed, Hannah is to be envied, but my heart grieves for her family and friends. I know she was so very much loved.

Bethany Pearson (Hannah's older sister) is still in critical condition at a hospital in St. Paul. God has certainly shown himself good and powerful in her body as the doctors have worked with her. The other girl who was involved in the accident was Angie Carlson, who is at North Memorial in Robbinsdale and also in critial condition.

To see current and detailed information on Bethany and Angie, you can go to CaringBridge.org and enter their first name and last initial. It is amazing to browse the guest books and see how many people are praying for these families! If God brings them to your mind today, please pray with me for these brothers and sisters in Christ - that Jesus Christ would be praised in the healing and recovery of Bethany and Angie and the passing on to glory of Hannah.

KT,

Will do. Keep us posted on their condition. It's very sad to think these families are struggling with this during the Christmas season. May the grace of God be their sustenance.

Katie,

I came across your blog after reading Shyla's! You may not even remember me from NBBC. My name was Heather Frey then...now Watson. It is so sad to here of these students, especially during this time of year. Kevin and I will keep them in our prayers tonight!
