"Not nerdy, but then again maybe not all that cool either"

I am nerdier than 14% of all people. Are you nerdier? Click here to find out!

I only scored a 14 on the nerd test. According to the test results, I'm "not nerdy, but then again maybe not all that cool either." Super, that makes me feel REAL special. Thanks, Alicia, for providing me the opportunity to take this nerd test. If you haven't already taken the test, visit Alicia's blog to take the test for yourself.

KT,

Ha ha! Seems like that nerd test site doesn't believe in boosting self-esteem from the comments it gave you. Funny test, eh? Don't feel dumb - if it was a test in English you would have kicked butt. Thanks for indulging my nerdiness. :) By the way, people don't have to go to my site to take the test. By clicking on your graphic they link to the nerdy test.

Enjoy your weekend dear,
Alicia

I figured they could get to the site from my blog, but thought I would give a little credit and homage to yours. :) Probaby everyone who looks at mine looks at your though.

We're having a lazy Saturday today. Kirsten's Apple Bean Bake (Kirsten Griffiths' recipe - SO good) is in the oven, and we're playing farm and watching Celebrety Poker. :) Luke's getting to be pretty good just from watching! (totally kidding)

Katie,

Sounds like a nice laidback Saturday. Thanks for giving me nerdy credit! I would like more blogging traffic. Speaking of more blogging, I have an idea I'd like to run past you. What do you think about helping me with a recipe swapping blog? I was thinking of posting some spam recipes for you and I know how much I love getting recipe referrals from other gals. What do you think?

Must run, Matt and I are ebaying.

Alicia,

I've been thinking of the very same thing!!! A recipe blog would be great. One of us could create it and both be members . . . Very good idea.

What are you ebaying?

Katie

Katie,

We are ebaying dreamweaver software. See, told you I was a nerd. I still think you qualify as a nerdette because you've been doing a tremendous job with your blog. Most people can't figure out how to add links or manipulate the html. Anyways, dreamweaver is web publishing software. Matt, Jeremiah & Jeff Darnell are thinking of starting an online Christian journal of sorts. It's just in the beginning stages but they will contact Christian scholars (your hubby included) with a call for papers soon. I'm in charge of the website. How's that for a long answer to your question! :)I was also looking for mini bread loaf pans.

How did the beans turn out? I would LOVE that recipe . . . Kirsten made it for us once. Yipee! Glad you like the recipe blog idea! Do you know of anyone else who would like to contribute?

Later gator,
Alicia

I declare us nerds for checking this post so much to see each other's comments! :)

Chris would certainly have some stellar papers to offer to an online theological journal. He has completed his thesis for his MDiv. He doesn't officially turn it until until later this semester.

In regards to the recipe blog . . . I'm not sure the best way to do it. Maybe however Matt would collect papers for his online journal? Direct the recipes to me or you and we'll post them as opposed to having many "members." I don't know. I'm not that nerdy, you know. :)

I became pretty efficient at computer stuff when I worked in Mpls. as an admin. assistant. I felt like a pro at Windows XP. Then Chris got an Apple! But, now I'm used to this, I guess. Blogging was the first thing I really did on the computer since being a SAHM though. I really want to put a guest book on my blog. I have to figure that one out.

We really should just call each other and talk on the phone one of these days. :)

Sheesh! Wish I could have been online saturday to be apart of this running commentary! Count me in on the recipe site!
Alicia - I wish I were even an ounce intrigued by the Spam Recipes, but i have an aversion to anything that looks or smells like cat food! LOL

Katie B.,
You left a note on my blog several weeks ago when I posted some pictures from here at Northland - well tonight I made a mental connection. I'm Scott Mohler's RA and tonight when I was checking rooms we were talking about theology and seminary like usual. Somehow the Brunos came up and I made the connection that the Bruno that posted on my blog is the wife of a Southern student who is the sister in law of one of my friends on my hall. Kind of wierd, but it proves the point that we live in a small world!
When does your husband finish up seminary? My fiance Bethany Bayliff (she's an RA in the girls dorm) and I will be married in late May and will, Lord willing, move to the seminary in early June. If you all have any advice for a newely-wed seminary couple moving to Louisville please let us know. We believe God is leading us to Southern, but are leaving all the details up to Him.

I'll try to help your sister out by keeping your soon-to-be Brother in law in line,

God Bless,
Zach Vester
