Update:I was able to change Chris' flight to tomorrow, but could not change the destination. So rather than buy a separate ticket to get him to Green Bay, Luke and I will just wait and drive with him tomorrow night. It's hard for me to think about hanging around here for another day and a half while my family is all together there, but God is in control of this timing. And I'm just thankful that my grandpa is with Jesus.
Well, after being encouraged when I went to sleep last night, I got a phone call early from my brother this morning saying my grandpa has no more worries. Ever. He took a turn for the worse in the middle of the night, and before anyone could get there, he passed away. I think everyone is thankful that he doesn't have to endure a long, hard fight that maybe wouldn't have been beatable in the end. I'm thankful too, while sad that I couldn't see him again. On the other hand, I had a great weekend with him and a precious time that most of my family didn't get. God's good to little me.
Pray for my grandma. She's doing well. Pray for my mom and her two sisters as well. I'm trying to get things figured out for my little family - pray that I can switch Chris' flight to fly into Green Bay and maybe even earlier. I'm on hold right now, and I've been told that nothing is refundable or changeable. I'll head to WI this afternoon; please pray that Luke will be patient so that the drive is as smooth as possible.
Thanks so much - Katie

PRAYING FOR YOU!!!
Katie, Chris, and Luke, you will be in our prayers this evening. We will pray that you will have physical strength to endure the drive, mental strength to support your mom through this time, emotional strength that you will rest in Jesus.
Katie,
I am so sad to hear about your grandpa. I have some fond memories of times at your grandparents home - he was such a sweet man. I will be praying for your grandma and the rest of the family.
