Update from Scotland - 12 July

It's Wed. night, and things are going great for us. We had a fabulous weekend in Aberdeen. The people we met, who are now our friends, were so friendly and gracious to us. It doesn't take long to learn the ways of Scotland. It is such a beautiful country.

The soccer camps and Holiday Club is going great. It is the largest football camp in the entire UK. We have hundreds of kids each day. They are all very intense about football! We've also enjoyed some sightseeing excursions. God's greatness as a Creator is abundantly evident here. I look forward to posting pictures when I get back for you all to see.

Katie leaves first thing Fri. morning. I am having a great time but will delighted to see Lukie on Sat. Chris will have to wait until Fri. the 21st. From the 2 times I've talked to my mom, he's having a fantastic time.

We love you so much and can't wait to see you all. God is good to us, and should he give us Scotland as our home for a few years, we are confident that the people here will capture our hearts.

Love you - Katie and Chris

We're glad to hear that you are having a good trip; we were just talking about it today and wondering how you were faring! How nice to be able to have an idea of what is ahead for you before actually moving. It would be so fun to see Luke's face when he finally sees you again:)

Katie, I was just thinking about you the past few days because I am reading this series of books by Judith Pella and they are set in Scotland. I kept reading about places that you have mentioned on your blog. I think they are called the Stonewycke trilogy. I have gotten through the first 2 and started the 3rd. They are VERY good if you are into reading! You may not have the time now, though, with your new move!
