Update on my Grandpa Salesky

According to my mom, the doctors said that my grandpa has improved 100%. He has always been a strong fighter! I could go on and on describing many situations where he has surprised doctors, and a few of those scenerios were in his 40s. He's of strong heart and hearty stock, I guess. His blood pressure improved early on which helped his body be able to fight this infection. The first six hours were crucial, and he fought through those and made it through. Anything could happen, but if he continues to improve, he will be in the hospital for 1-2 more weeks. Thank you for your prayers and kind words and for your continued prayers for my family especially my grandpa and also my grandma. She is getting worn out, and it will be difficult in the coming days/weeks - running to the hospital every day.

Janelle & Jason & Daniel and his family are all there from Mpls, and Matthew came from Milwaukee. Only the stray middle child is still away, but I have peace in this situation. I'm looking forward to Chris coming home from Scotland on Friday. If things continue to go okay as they did today for my grandpa, I will probably just go to WI on July 31 as I had planned before to help with April's wedding.

Luke had his 2-year checkup today, and despite a Hep.A shot and routine blood work, he had a great day. I'm happy and relieved to find minimal "grandma detox" necessary after 9 days with grandparents and other doting relatives. :) You parents will know what I mean. He was a sweetie today and encouraged me greatly. What ever did I do before I was a mom?
