Lukie: (Luke comes running up to Mommy with a fresh popsicle from Grandma's freezer.) Mommy! Mommy! My fwoat! My fwoat! (Translated: throat) My fwoat hurts!
Mommy: Your throat hurts?
Lukie: Yea. It's hurts. I need medicine. (Points to the popsicle, aka "medicine")
Mommy: Ok. You can have a popsicle.
(Luke downs the popsicle in record time.)
Lukie: Mommy! My fwoat all better! My fwoat all better!
Mommy: Your throat's all better?
Lukie: Yea.
Mommy: It's a miracle.
Lukie: IT'S A MIRACLE!
(Mommy cracks up.)
Lukie: Mommy! My fwoat is in my tummy!
Mommy: Your sore throat is in your tummy with the popsicle?
Lukie: Yea.
Sigh.

Oh my. The adorable reasoning of a 2 year old. :)
He is so funny! And I could completely picture the entire conversation in my head after spending a weeekend with him:)
Oh, is he your child. Cute and precious.
so cute katie,
our kids are always asking for medicine. (i guess it tastes pretty good when you don't get sugar very often.)
lukie is so cute.
i miss you,
janelle
Well, I guess Wheaton was serious when they said "by March 1st"... they should have said, "don't expect a call until at least March 1st!":)
Christine, Chris was looking on Wheaton's website, where he got the March 1st information, and it has been changed and says the candidates will be notified "in March." So, we won't be holding our breath tomorrow. :(
Caleb hit his lip last week so we gave him an ice pop to help make it better now anytime he hits his head, hand, foot . . . he gives us the pouty lip and says "I think a freeze pop would help." (followed by a grin).
I'm excited to hear the news, and your son is hilarious.
that's so cute! way to weasel a popsicle buddy! :)
Great conversation -- Kara and I've had a few like that -- only she wants to take the real medicine. I'll have to try offering her a popsicle next time. Will be praying for you as you wait to hear from Wheaton
So cute!!! I love the way little kids talk! Sometimes though it is so hard to understand them!!
Katie,
We have Lukie's Bible. It took a while to realize because Isaac has almost the same one- I realized we had Luke's when Isaac brought out two at the same time:) Did you bring Luke's in a box or alone?
that is an adorable story!
